At 8:44 pm today my father lost his battle with cancer. Dad passed away very peacefully surrounded by the family that loves him. We are deeply saddened by our loss, but know that my dad is absolutely having a blast in heaven as we speak. He never met his biological father since he was killed in a car accident when my dad was just a baby. Today they share paradise!
I will continue to use this blog for further updates on viewing and funreal arrangements. I should have everything in place tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. Please pray for our family for strength to get through this and for wisdom when we share our loss with our two small children. They love their "Ta Ta" and this will be tough for them to deal with.

Aunt Sheryl, Mike, Lianna, Noah, and Graham - There are no words that one can say to help ease your pain and suffering at this time, but remembering all of the good times you had with Uncle Chet will. He was a very loving, caring, and giving man who spread his love to all he knew. I will always have him and you in my heart!
ReplyDeleteLOVE TO ALL OF YOU - Jeri Kay, or as Uncle Chet would have said "his litle cutie"
We feel your pain in our hearts! Tough battle...good fight. May all of your loving memories someday help to ease the pain of your loss.
ReplyDeleteWhat a loving reminder the Apostle John was inspired to write down for us. READ John 6:40. AND I would be remiss if I neglected to share Maddison's favorite scripture with you. Please read Revelation 21: 3&4 and also Isaiah 25:8&9. What a wonderful promise made by God.
Your Dad is in God's memory now...no safer place to be. (Malachi 3:16)
He will be missed here. THAT is for certain!
Please know that there are scores of us in the Marble and Glencairn community that know members of your family and are silently with you in spirit, standing behind you for support if you should need to lean.
ReplyDelete"He who has gone,
So we but cherish his memory, abides with us,
more potent, nay, more present than the living man."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery
When my husband's father passed away years ago, we vowed never to let him stray far from our family. My husband still tells our children stories about Grandpa on a daily basis, and the children feel like he is with us. We often feel his presence in little moments and we are certain that guardian angels are always present.

ReplyDeleteI got your back. Call me any time. If you need a cup of coffee and an ear I am there. Dont beleive anything the enemy throws at, God is still Good.
You have my sword!

Our prayers and thoughts are with you. We are so saddened by the news.
ReplyDeleteOur loved ones who have passed away are very close to us in spirit and are the guardian angels I know protect us. They are only a voice away. I feel my mom's hand on me when I need her presence on so many occasions. She is always nearby.
Psalm 91:11-12 "For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone."
Peace be with you.

Sheryl, Mike and Lianna, Noah and Graham,
ReplyDeleteWe send our love and prayers. May your memories and stories help ease the grief in the coming days, weeks and months; and may you find comfort in the love and support that surrounds you.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Please know that my prayers are with you and your family. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything at all. God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI pray God's strength and peace for Cheryl and family. Saying goodbye is always difficult especially to such a wonderful and godly man such as your beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and my friend. Chet is finally home with the good Lord and his father whom he longed to meet. Remember, this is not goodbye, just...until we meet again.

Dear Sheryl and the family,
ReplyDeleteWe are always at a loss for words in the face of eternity. Our condolences!
Silent Ship
If the day has arrived at last to weigh anchor from time,
A ship departs from this harbor towards an unknown clime.
Those who sailed away are surely happy with their sojourn:
Years went by since that voyage, yet not one soul will return.
